Sarah McCarthy – West Slope Field Manager

sarah mccarthy staff biography headshotSarah grew up romping around Colorado’s stunning landscapes and quickly realized that she wanted to work to protect the land that captured her heart. Her sinuous career path has led her from restoring salmon habitat in the Pacific Northwest to promoting sustainable agriculture in southern Belize, but has led full-circle back to sweet-home Colorado.

With a MS in Conservation Leadership from Colorado State University and a BS in Environmental Science from Western Washington University, Sarah is excited to be working to advocate for public lands, water, and clean energy as a Grand Junction Field Organizer. You will find her scaling rocks in the canyon country, counting the worms in her garden, and gaining new perspectives through the occasional handstand.
