We need your urgent support! Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and low-income communities disproportionately experience the burdens of a changing climate. Colorado leaders recognize this and have proposed two climate action and justice laws. But not all leaders are on board. Your voice is power!
Tell your legislators to vote YES on these critical bills. Time is running out: The Legislature adjourns soon. Send your letter today!
If we don’t act, we’ll all continue to suffer at the hands of increasing wildfires, harmful pollution, and social inequality. All of which make our kids and grandkids’ futures even more frightening. Colorado needs equitable climate action in order to achieve environmental justice while also meeting the climate reduction targets established in Governor Polis’s Climate Roadmap.
Two bills can make this happen:
- Senate Bill 21-200, which builds on sector-specific emission targets; and
- House Bill 21-1266, which defines and addresses environmental justice.
