Born, raised, and educated in Pueblo County, Commissioner Esgar has demonstrated her commitment to our community time and again. She was appointed in 2023 after representing Pueblo for 8 years in the state legislature, including the honor of serving as House Majority Leader. In the legislature, she was a fierce advocate for Pueblo County’s values, including labor rights, reproductive freedom, and building a safe community where every family can thrive. As Commissioner, she is fighting to keep our cost of living low, our water clean, and our agricultural heritage alive and well.
