Press Statement: Pro-Conservation Majority Elected in Grand Junction
Tonight, with Rick Taggart, Abe Herman, and Randall Reitz winning their respective races, it is clear that Grand Junction has elected a pro-conservation city council majority that is poised to protect our air, land, water, and community.
Conservation Colorado West Slope Field Manager Ian Roche released the following statement:
“Congratulations to Rick Taggart, Abe Herman, and Randall Reitz on their wins tonight — and to all of us, including our 2,500 members in Grand Junction on this victory for our air, land, water, and community. Here in town and across the Western Slope, conservation issues are important to everyone and clearly winning issues in elections. I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with these outstanding people on all that makes Grand Junction such a special place.”
