On Aug. 23, Sunday morning looked a little different at Great Lawn Park. Runners and walkers lined up for the 5K as families and teams ran side by side through the course, friends cheered each other on and plenty of dogs joined the fun, too.

By the end of the morning, 200 runners and walkers had crossed the finish line. But the Rebel Run 5K was about more than completing a race, it was a chance to come together for the places and communities we care about across Colorado.

This year, the Rebel Run 5K raised more than $31,000 through participant registrations, donations, fundraising and sponsorships to support the work of Conservation Colorado and Conservation Colorado Education Fund to protect Colorado’s climate, clean air, water, lands and communities.

An event like the Rebel Run 5K takes a community of people and partners who are willing to show up for Colorado. We’re grateful to the generous sponsors who helped make the 2026 race possible and supported an event that brought people together to help protect the outdoors we love to hike, bike, paddle and explore.

A race becomes more than a race. It becomes a family morning, a team challenge, a chance to meet new people, a reason to get outside and a way to turn a few miles into support for protecting Colorado.

We hope you’ll join us for the 2027 Rebel Run. Whether you run, walk, participate virtually, bring your family or coworkers, or join us as a sponsor, there are many ways to take part in the event and support Conservation Colorado’s work.

However you choose to show up, there’s a place for you at the Rebel Run.
