DENVER — The Colorado legislature passed two bills yesterday, “Ozone Mitigation Measures” (SB24-229) and “Oil & Gas Production Fee” (SB24-230), which will help make significant progress in addressing the harm to the environment and communities caused by the oil and gas industry.

In celebration, Conservation Colorado’s CEO, Kelly Nordini, issued the following statement:

“We’re celebrating the passage of these two bills, which are major wins for the environment. The bills will result in meaningful reductions in ozone to combat pollution for communities that are facing the greatest impacts from the oil and gas sector. They will also bring unprecedented statewide funding for transit and one of the biggest investments in Colorado’s parks & wildlife in a decade!”
