STATEMENT: Conservation Colorado calls for independent investigation of CDPHE

In response to the serious allegations made by employees from the Air Control Pollution Division within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Conservation Colorado’s deputy director Jessica Goad released the following statement:

“The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is the agency responsible for protecting the health of Coloradans – the recent allegations made must be taken seriously. We can’t let corporate polluters and air pollution go unchecked. Worse still, this pollution has a bigger impact on communities of color, which is why we need stronger environmental justice protections. We call on Governor Polis, Attorney General Weiser, and other leaders to undertake an independent investigation.”
