BECOME A CLIMATE LEADER IN COLORADO
Apply to the Boards and Commissions Fellowship

The Boards and Commissions Fellowship is a free, six-month leadership program from Conservation Colorado’s Climate Justice Leadership Academy. It prepares emerging leaders from disproportionately impacted communities to serve on local and state boards and commissions across Colorado.
Through monthly trainings and mentorship, fellows build the leadership skills, confidence and network needed to step into public decision-making spaces.
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:

✔ Stipends and resources to reduce participation barriers

TRAINING TOPICS INCLUDE:
✔ Parliamentary procedure
✔ Open meeting law
✔ Political decision-making
✔ Conflict management
✔ Communication strategies
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We especially encourage people from directly impacted communities and those with underrepresented identities — including Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC), Latino, LGBTQIA+ community and people with disabilities — to apply.
This program is not an introductory training. Applicants should have prior advocacy experience and a basic understanding of advocacy work, ideally with Conservation Colorado or another environmental or social justice organization.
