Denver — In response to House Republicans voting to pass the Big Ugly Republican Budget Bill, Conservation Colorado’s CEO Kelly Nordini issued the following statement:
“Today, House Republicans passed the most anti-environmental bill in history, and Coloradans will pay the price. This bill will not only devastate climate progress, but also weaken protections for our public lands, drive up energy costs for everyone, threaten food access for vulnerable families, strip healthcare from thousands and fund deportations tearing families apart — all while handing out tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.
“By voting to pass this bill, Reps. Gabe Evans, Jeff Hurd, Jeff Crank and Lauren Boebert have sold out the very people they were elected to serve.
“Conservation Colorado will continue to fight back — standing up for our environment, defending our communities and ensuring those who voted for this bill are held accountable.”
